Research & Strategy

Know Your Top 5

Go deep on your top 5 companies. Understand their products, culture, and recent news. This will fuel your conversations and show you've done your homework.

Map Your Route

Use the fair map to plot a rough course. Hit your 'must-see' booths first, then use any extra time to explore other interesting companies.

Time Your Visits

The first and last hours of the fair are often best for deeper conversations. Use the busy midday period for exploring, grabbing snacks, and attending company presentations.

Digital Presence

Update Your LinkedIn

Ensure your profile is current with your latest projects and experiences. Recruiters often check it after meeting you.

Prepare Your Portfolio

Have a link to your portfolio, GitHub, or personal website ready to share from your phone. A QR code can make this seamless.

Connect On the Spot

If a conversation goes well, ask to connect on LinkedIn. It’s a modern and efficient way to exchange details.

Asking Great Questions

Go Beyond the Obvious

Instead of 'What do you do?', try asking 'What is a project you're currently excited about?'. It shows deeper interest.

Ask About Culture & Growth

Ask 'What does onboarding look like for new graduates?' or 'How do you support professional development?'. It shows you're thinking long-term.

Inquire About Their Journey

Ask the representative about their own career path at the company. People often enjoy sharing their personal stories.

First Impressions

Confident Body Language

Stand tall, make eye contact, and offer a firm handshake. A genuine smile makes you more approachable and memorable.

Active Listening

Pay full attention. Nod and ask clarifying questions to show you're engaged, not just waiting for your turn to speak.

Show Genuine Enthusiasm

Express authentic interest in the company. Recruiters remember passionate and energetic candidates.

Lunch Lectures

January & February 2026 • Insight into professional life

Lunch Lectures offer students a unique opportunity to gain direct insights into professional life through company presentations during lunch breaks. These 45-minute sessions combine learning with networking in a relaxed atmosphere, where companies share their work, culture, and opportunities while providing complimentary lunch for attending students. It's an informal yet valuable way to explore different industries, learn about career paths, and connect with potential employers without the pressure of a formal interview setting.

Lecture Format

45-minute presentations in lecture halls, with Q&A opportunities and lunch provided for students.

Schedule & Registration

Lectures held throughout January and February. Registration opens two weeks before each event on a first-come-first-served basis.

What to Expect

Company presentations about their operations, industry insights, career opportunities, and informal networking with company representatives.

Upcoming Lectures

Companies will be announced soon! Check back later.

Get More Than a Free Lunch

Do a 5-Minute Prep

Quickly scan the company's 'About Us' page beforehand. Knowing what they do provides context and helps you ask smarter questions.

Prepare One "Why" Question

Think of one question about *why* they use a certain technology or *why* their culture is a certain way. It shows deeper thinking.

Listen for Keywords

Jot down keywords about their challenges, tools, and values. Use these to tailor your follow-up conversation after the presentation.

Make a Lasting Impression

Ask a Question Publicly

Don't be shy during the Q&A. Asking a thoughtful question in front of the group is a great way to be remembered.

Reference the Content

When networking after, start with 'I was really interested in the part about X...'. It proves you were paying close attention.

Connect with Context

When you connect on LinkedIn, mention a specific insight from the lecture in your message. It’s much more effective than a generic request.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for a lunch lecture?
Registration opens two weeks before each lecture on a first-come, first-served basis. Click the 'Register' button on the lecture you're interested in. You'll get a confirmation email, and that's it! Be sure to register early as spots fill up fast.
Is lunch really provided?
Yes! All registered students receive complimentary lunch during the lecture. Please indicate any dietary restrictions when registering so we can accommodate your needs.
What should I bring to a lunch lecture?
Just yourself and a curious mind! A notebook and pen for taking notes is also a great idea. Instead of physical CVs, we encourage you to have your LinkedIn profile updated and ready to share if the opportunity arises.
Can I attend multiple lunch lectures?
Absolutely! We encourage students to attend as many lunch lectures as their schedule allows. Each company offers unique insights and networking opportunities, so attending multiple sessions helps you explore different industries and career paths.
What if I register but can no longer attend?
Plans change, we get it! If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration. Doing so gives another student a chance to take your spot and helps us minimize food waste. You can typically cancel via the link in your confirmation email or by logging into the registration platform.

Contact Interviews

January & February 2026 • Relaxed one-on-one connections

Go beyond the career fair buzz with a focused, one-on-one conversation. Contact Interviews are your chance to sit down with company representatives for a relaxed chat about your future. It’s not a high-pressure job interview—it’s a genuine dialogue to see if you and the company are a great match. Submit your CV and get selected for a conversation that could kick-start your career.

The Format

A relaxed, 20-minute, one-on-one chat in a quiet setting. It's a two-way conversation to discuss your goals and their culture—far more personal than a quick talk at a busy booth.

How to Participate

Submit your CV through our portal. Companies review all applications and send personal invitations to the students they want to meet.

The Goal

To find a great mutual fit. These conversations can directly lead to summer internships, thesis projects, or even future job opportunities.

CV Preparation

Tailor to Companies

Tailor your CV for the companies you're most interested in. Research them beforehand and highlight the skills and projects they would value most.

Clear & Concise

Keep your CV to 1-2 pages and use bullet points to quantify achievements. Make it easy for recruiters to scan quickly.

Highlight Projects

Showcase academic or personal projects that demonstrate your skills. Include links to GitHub, portfolios, or project demos when relevant.

Master the Conversation

Prepare a Narrative

Don't just list your skills. Be ready to tell a short, engaging story about a project you're passionate about or a complex problem you solved. Stories are more memorable than facts.

Find a Mutual Interest

Listen for cues about the interviewer's role and projects. Asking a follow-up question like, 'That sounds fascinating, what was the biggest challenge you faced there?' can turn the chat into a real dialogue.

Know Your "Ask"

As the conversation wraps up, have a goal in mind. Is it connecting with a specific engineer? Getting an email for a follow-up question? Politely guiding the next step shows initiative.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from a regular job interview?
Think of it less as a formal evaluation and more as a professional coffee chat. The focus is on a genuine, two-way conversation to see if you and the company are a great match, without the high pressure.
What should I wear to a contact interview?
Business casual is perfect. The goal is to look professional but feel comfortable. Think smart trousers or a skirt with a nice shirt or blouse—polished but not overly formal.
How long do interviews typically last?
Each interview is a focused 20-minute conversation. You'll receive a specific time slot with your invitation, so we recommend arriving a few minutes early to get settled and prepared.
How many students typically get selected?
While it varies, most companies select 10-15 students. Remember, even if you're not selected for a one-on-one, you still have a fantastic opportunity to connect with these same companies at the Main Career Fair.
What happens after a contact interview?
It varies by company. Some may discuss next steps, like a formal interview, during the chat itself. Others will follow up via email in the days following the event. It's always a good idea to politely ask about their timeline at the end of your conversation.

Case Evenings

January & February 2026 • Real-world business challenges

Ready to test your skills on a real business problem? At a Case Evening, you'll team up with other students to solve a live challenge presented by a leading company. It’s your chance to showcase your analytical skills, creativity, and teamwork in a hands-on workshop. Go beyond theory and show companies how you think, all while networking in a natural, collaborative setting.

The Format

An evening workshop where you'll work in a small team to analyze a real business case, develop a solution, and present your findings to the company.

Location Options

Events hosted either at KTH campus venues (organized by Moment) or at company offices, providing insight into corporate environments.

What You'll Gain

Gain practical problem-solving skills, prove your ability to work in a team, and network with professionals in a context where your talent is on full display.

Upcoming Case Evenings

Companies will be announced soon! Check back later.

How to Crack the Case

Start with a Framework

Don't just dive in. Use a simple structure (like SWOT or a pro/con list) to organize your thoughts. This clarifies your approach and keeps your team focused under pressure.

Know Their World

Your solution must fit the company's reality. Before you arrive, quickly understand their main products and market. This context is crucial for a realistic and impressive solution.

Challenge One Assumption

Great solutions often come from questioning a core assumption in the case. Ask 'What if...?' to explore innovative ideas that others might miss. Companies love to see this.

Collaborate & Convince

Be a Great Teammate

Enable others to speak, build on their ideas (use 'Yes, and...'), and help manage the clock. Companies watch how you collaborate just as much as they listen to your answer.

Tell a Clear Story

Don't just list your findings. Present your solution as a clear, confident story: 'Here was the problem, here's our analysis, and here is our single, actionable recommendation.'

Engage with the Guides

The company reps are there to help. Ask them smart questions *during* the workshop, not just during the breaks. This shows you're engaged and makes you stand out.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply for a case evening?
Click the 'Apply' button for the specific event you're interested in. Applications usually require a CV and a brief motivation statement. This is your chance to tell the company why you're excited about their case!
Do I need prior case competition experience?
Not at all! These events are for learning. Companies are looking for creative thinking and collaboration, not case experts. Your unique perspective is more valuable than any prior experience.
Is this a competition? Will my team 'win'?
Think of it as a collaborative workshop, not a high-stakes competition. While you will present your findings, the goal is to learn, showcase your skills, and connect with the company in a practical setting. The experience and connections are the real prize.
How are teams formed for case evenings?
You'll be placed into a diverse team by the event organizers. This is a great way to simulate a real-world project, learn from students with different backgrounds, and expand your network.
